Ten Books For Readers Who Like girls submerged in water

toptentuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

The last weeks been one of those weeks when you’re inspirations just seems to be somewhere else and you struggle to write down some interesting or witty words, or just a sentence or two that make sense. Well I’m not promising that this TTT will make sense, but here it is:

Ten Books For Readers Who Like …

Sometimes you pick up a book just because its cover is beautiful, intriguing or just stunning, sometimes you need a reminder of summer, sun and warmth and sometimes you just need something new and different…

Last year I needed a theme for my summer reading, I wanted to go outside my usual reading preference and since I already planned to read The Ocean…
I decided to search for more books that had a girl submerged in water (it doesn’t have anything to do with pick up book genres that I usually don’t read, but there you have it, my own personal logic, search for different subject/genres, find books with water covers).
The result – some surprisingly good books!

In other words, this week’s TTT will be all about stunning water covers! (+ girls, covers with girls and water!)

The Ocean at the end of the lane   On the fringe   Imaginary Girls

Lies Bebeth   Deep Betrayal   Promise Bound

the unbecoming of mara dyer   The evolution of mara syer   the retribution of mara dyer

The Ocean at the End of the Lane by Neil Gaiman
I just fell in love with this cover!
It also gives you a hint of what to come and that always give it an extra plus.
The ocean.. are pure MAGIC! The story will live with you and your thoughts long after you finish reading it. This is a book that I sort of whish that I haven’t read so I would have the pleasure to read it for the first time again!

On the Fringe by Courtney King Walker
Lovely cover!
If you’re cup of tea is young adult, romance, mystery and a ghost story all wrapped up in one, then I think you should try this one out. It’s not the most revolutionary as stories goes, but a wonderful tale of young love, destiny, death and what you might meet on the fringe.

Imaginary Girls Nova Ren Suma
Might just be my cup of tea, paranormal, magic, horror, ghost and YA, could be a keeper.
I like the cover and it fitted with last year’s summer theme, unfortunarly it’s a book that I haven’t read yet (truth, well I didn’t find any publication of Imaginary Girls with this cover, so it’s sill on my TBR list 😉 )

Lies Beneath, Deep Betrayal, Promise Bound by Anne Greenwood Brown
Besides some beautiful covers, this story of mermaids or rather merpeople is strangely interesting, never thought that a story of mermaids would be my cup of tea, but I enjoyed it immensely.
Don’t you wish you could dive into the ocean and go for a swim when you see these covers?

The Unbecoming of Mara Dyer, The Evolution of Mara Dyer, The Retribution of Mara Dyer by Michelle Hodkin
Stunning covers! Just stunning.
And the story, well it wasn’t even close of what I expected, but in a good way.
If you like well written story, not knowing what’s real or what’s a hallucination, if you like to be surprised and of course if strange, romantic young adult genre is your think, this is it!

There it is, my top ten books (well nine) with stunning water covers! (+ girls. covers with girls, girls under water)

Are you’re like me, sometimes pick up a book only because you like its cover?

    • Ohhh what a lovely cover! Sounds interesting as well. You got to tell me what you’re thought when you’re done reading.

I do love book covers, sometimes it is enough for a buy or if the title stands out in some way that could also be a reason for me.
You’re welcome, hope you like one or two 🙂
