Dystopian/ Post apocalypse
World After av Susan Ee
Unravel Me och Ignite Me av Tahereh Mafi
Isolation och Fragments av Dan Wells

Urban Fantasy
House of the Rising Sun av Kristen Painter

Horror (supernatural)
Maplecroft av Cherie Priest

Magical Realism
The Ocean at the End of the Lane av Neil Gaiman

Graphic novels

Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 – bookish, blogging or otherwise!

toptentuesdayTop Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

This week’s list:

Top Ten Goals/Resolutions For 2015 — bookish, blogging or otherwise!

Last Top Ten Tuesday of 2014, what can I say, it’s been an interesting year, with a lots of ups and a few downs. But today we concentrate on the tomorrow, so Goals/Resolutions For 2015 — bookish, blogging or otherwise?

To be honest I don’t do resolutions, period. It’s so disappointing when you set up big ones and then slowly as the new year unfolds realize that you probably were a bit ambitious, or maybe the champagne were getting to your head, or maybe your heart wasn’t really in to it, or maybe just maybe you failed big time, so no I don’t do resolutions.

But then you got to have goals, right? I can do that, goals, yes that would do just nicely. So here goes nothing,

1. Write more
To date I’ve read 79 books this year and I’m not even close when it comes to reviewing all of them.
My lovely friend keeps telling me, you must write more! and maybe they are right, so I will try to put down some few more words.

2. Get more involved in the blogging community
It’s a bit harder than I thought, well maybe not hard, but I do need to put aside time for it, to be totally honest I do love all those lovely book blogs out there.

3. Read more
This year I had 100 books on my Goodreads challenge, I didn’t quite make it, next year I’ll do another try.

4. Go to Copenhagen Comics
This year there is no excuses!

5. Making some changes to this blog
This last goal is more of a thought, been thinking for a while if I should write both in Swedish and in English, so I need to decide whether I can make the time to change this blog to be in two languages or just to keep it as it is…
Questions, questions and then some challenges, or rather decisions, decisions and some challenges. But then life would be pretty boring if there were no challenges or decisions to make, now wouldn’t it?

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year

This week’s list:

Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing This Year

Can’t believe it’s just one day until Christmas! Where did December go, I’m not even close getting ready for the holidays.

This year been all about doing something new and different, I went a bit crazy and got myself a Christmas tree, first one ever! Now I just have to fill it with some nerdy things, right? 🙂

Well, don’t think I will get any books, to be honest I rarely do, but here is my wishing list:

1. Neil Gaiman Absolute Sandman edition, the entire series of the lovely Mr Gaimans Sandman in a really posh and luxury edition, no I wouldn’t mind that at all.
2. Leslie S. Klinger, Neil Gaiman The Annotated Sandman, Gaiman, Sandman, thoughts, pictures, interviews and a lot, lot more. How can I refuse that.
3. Neil Gaiman The Sleeper and the Spindle, I can’t get enough and well to be honest, if I don’t get it from Santa I will put it on my next-to-buy list.
4. Wizards of the Coast: Dungeons & Dragons Dungeon Master’s Guide, 5th edition, it will look so good besides all the other earlier editions.
5. Wizards of the Coast: Dungeons & Dragons Monster Manual, a couple of friend and I have been talking about maybe, just maybe, start a new D&D campaign, so… Better be prepared (even if we actually are playing 4th) 😉
6. Mats Strandberg Engelsfors series.
7. Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodríguez Locke & Key Slipcase Set, OK like Sandman I already have all the volumes but I’m such a sucker for new edition with cool packing 😀
8. Joe Hill, Gabriel Rodríguez Locke & Key: Guide to the Known Keys, Key’s key’s key’s just love it, it’s on Kindle, so if Santa doesn’t bring it, well…
9. Ransom Riggs Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series, think it’s about time to read this series.
10.Ransom Riggs, Cassandra Jean Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children: The Graphic Novel, well I do love a graphic novel or two.
